Water storage in an advanced country like the US is not really taken into account since the people could always have water that almost never runs out. A lot would waste water without knowing how precious a natural resource it is. Since 1997, the World Water Council has been able to generate annual participation in a special discussion group called the World Water Forum.
One of the most important issues highlighted in the forum is the fact that until today, billions of people around the world do not have access to clean and safe water. Safe water is something that all should have and it is very sad that those in first world countries just don’t care about it. For this reason, the Council has come up with a yearly report of the status of water in several parts of the world.
There are various themes each year and just last year the theme was “Water for Cities: Responding to the Urban Challenge” and in 2010 it was “Clean Water for a Healthy World”. Much thought and consideration were clearly put into these socially relevant themes. After it has been done it will now be given to various groups like the Science and Culture Organization (UNESCO), the United Nations Education and the World Health Organization (WHO), just to name a few.
We can commend the water tank industry for its modesty as well as its greatness. Storage tanks are made so that there is a place for water to be put. In terms of irrigation and agriculture, the use of water tanks proves to be beneficial.
